I headcanon LMK Wukong uses his glamour for cosmetic and youthful reasons, so people would see him perfectly young and anti aging despite his years. Just like every celebrities we see on the internet, glass skin, no wrinkles on sight and always with that perfect smile. Despite his own wife not using it, her face is practically an exoskeleton. Unchanging, no wrinkle and perfect. In his eyes anyway, Wukong gets a bit insecure when trying to live up towards people's idealistic view of his appearance.

To un-glamour another demon is an act of vulnerability, showing trusts and comfort. I know Suklha would do it to show Wukong he can be more open to her, she helped him with his grief and hardships in life. The least thing he can do is communicate against the rough patch of relationship they had.
