Stupid Cupid

Today’s slapdash ⭐️ 5 star post of the day ⭐️ is a release day feature for an early read I was blessed to get: “Stupid Cupid” by Maeve Black. This is the sequel story that follows Xo’s brother, Valentine, and his descent into the madness we call love.
The push-and-pull chemistry was off the charts and there is a part where Pyro finally snaps that gave me chills (literally!).
{“You push me too much, Cupid.” His words came out with fumes, an almost roar of hisses and growls.}
Needless to say the spice-to-angst ratio is incredible in this book. While I hated their time apart it did amazing things to their inevitable explosive rejoining. I will leave it at that vague statement because this is one of those stories that you really have to read yourself to appreciate. Just prepare yourself for a lot of spoiling and bratting, and hot, witty banter!
🌶 Spice (K!nk & Variety of scenes): 4/5 (play club, light d/s dynamic with punishment, “pet”, and flavored monster equipment)
💦 Steam (Detail & amount of scenes): 5/5
💕 Romance (relationship dynamics): 4/5
🌱 Character Growth/Arc: 4/5 (there were a few places where I felt like I was missing context, the non-linear time might’ve been why)

⭐️ 5/5 Stars overall, would recommend!
