Ok. This is just... weird. I can understand trauma, death or even bullying being triggering...
But someone just got their knickers in a twist because I write Ironhide in my fanfiction to be a fool the same way Pippin Took in LotR is a fool for comic relief.
First off, that's a new one. Second off, characters who are dumb like the Three Stooges is not an attack on anyone because nobody is that dumb though sometimes, we all have done dumb things. And it's definitely not an attack on people with mental conditions because I am not writing Ironhide to have a condition or disability. He's just a fool. A clown. His dumb moments aren't to mock anyone. It's a joke.
I'm not even offended. I'm just weirded out. And part of me is hoping it was just a troll because if comic relief dumbness requires a trigger warning now... I'm kind of scared.
PS: A lot of people portray Ironhide as dumb in their fanfiction. Not just me. It's not an attack on the guy. In fact, quite the opposite. I love Ironhide a lot. However, even in G1, he always came across as not being the sharpest tool in the shed. That's just his quirk.
So far today I have slept in (the CBD gummies gave me weird dreams and it was cool), washed some dishes I used yestedray, and gone to buy ice cream, onions, tofu, and avocados. (The clerk hesitantly asked me what I was making.)
I have procrastinated sorting my shit in my bedroom successfully for 9.5 hours. I swear I'll get to doing some of it, but getting out of my room and not going back in til it's bedtime has become the routine for the past 2 years; it's hard to break that now.
