a half-blind superhero with a traditional two-eyed domino mask, but everyone knows one eye is blind. the thing is that there is no consensus on which eye it is. they both blink, they're both mesh (it's by design, the hero doesn't want them to know, obviously.)
there are villains with betting pools: the prevailing theory is the left side, but some people swear by the right. they've made rules for themselves: you can't figure it out by just asking them, you can't remove their mask to figure it out, and you have to have evidence that passes the majority's vote that you actually found the eye. a lot of people have attempted to find their secret identity to no avail.
goons don't really understand it, they get beaten up from both sides and they want this to be over so they know what side to swing at first.
