Since Thursday our politicians have been trying to rush the 'Kids Online Safety Act' (KOSA) and SCREEN acts alongside 15 other bills through committee in order to censor the internet while lying about it being for child safety. It was such laws that allowed the UK, Australia, and Europe to become the hellholes they are where youre arrested for mean posts.

Sadly, our same leaders are also trying to repeal Section 230 alongside these bills. What Section 230 does, in simple terms, is categorize stuff you make online as part of your freedom of speech.

It all started with the Russian government making it illigal to talk about queerness amongst children, which was greatly celebrated by the homophobic majority back in the day. Later, they made it punishable for queer adults to publicly share their stories amongst other adults too, which was also celebrated.

On 30th November of 2023, the "lgbtq+ organization" was titled as "extremist", along with all the pro-Ukranian and anti-war organizations, which led to radical, aggressive censorship of all media in Russia. Then, big western social media were banned, along with monetization on them, which made activism for queer/pro-Ukrainian Russians even more difficult than it used to be, as it's required to dox yourself to the government by putting your "content creator" number (obtained from the official public services app "Госуслуги" by giving your sensitive information) in your BIO to get monetized legally. That has affected the right to privacy of not only Russian activists, but also of every Russian content creator.

12 days ago, on September 1st, 2025, they published a new law that punishes those who GOOGLE SEARCH unfavorable information about the government, "extremist" media, or anything that might suggest opposition to the Russian government and its actions. It's not just illegal to "seem" anti-war, or pro-gay, or pro-trans anymore — It's the MINDSET that's being criminalized right now. It's illegal to QUESTION, it's illegal to RESEARCH, it's illegal to INFO CHECK, it's illegal to EDUCATE YOURSELF, it's illegal to even TRY to FIND OUT THE TRUTH, even if you're doing it ON YOUR OWN.

So when I tell you,

It's NEVER about your safety and it's NEVER about "the kids",

Pay attention to every bill or executive order. Don't ask how it'll benefit the country. Ask how it'll benefit the one trying to get it passed. You'll start noticing the whispers.

To those who say, "Stop reading between the lines." No. Always read between the lines. Never take a politician at face value. This goes for all politicians regardless of party.

Don’t you dare try to make yourself small, don’t you dare be passive and roll over while they run your country to the ground. I’m not even American and this makes my blood boil, watching all the horrible things happening over there. They have taken your rights. Do you understand me? It is propaganda, plain and simple. Staying quiet just to appease other people is exactly what they want. They want you to remain passive, they want you to hope that things will get better on their own.

here’s the simple truth- it won’t. not unless you do something about it. we all saw it with the UHC shooter, citizens being abused and refused for years, but the second someone leaps into actions, suddenly the gears start turning. I understand that politics isn’t for everyone, and it may very well mentally affect you. but I believe this isn’t the time for that.

YOUR PRESIDENT JUST PUT A BUNCH OF LGBTQ KIDS AT RISK. THE WORLDS RICHEST MAN DID THE NAZI SALUTE AT YOUR INAUGURATION. YOU ARE WATCHING THEM TAKE AWAY YOUR RIGHTS IN REAL TIME ON NATIONAL TELEVISION.

this is the time for action. Do not let them take away your voice. Be inconvenient. Be angry. Be a public menace. Be as fucking difficult to the government as you could possibly be.
