I have an idea about why the Targaryen's keep their dragons in the Dragonpit. But ... I don't fully understand.
Their dragons are their most important asset. So why not build ... dragon rooms ... treat them with the upmost respect and freedom. My girl Rhaenyra drops an absolute truth:
"Everyone says Targaryens are closer to gods than to men, but they say that because of our dragons. Without them, we're just like everyone else." ―Rhaenyra Targaryen
So why is there even a dragonpit?? Dragons can look after themselves, especially the older ones... wait is there a fear they'll somehow become a wild dragon?
If anyone has any thoughts, PLEASE add them. Because I don't understand!
