In a world full of Photoshop and carefully created, high dollar, social media presences - it really pays to be able to sniff out authenticity. There are no magic pills, magic superfoods, or magic fast or cleanses that are going to save you. You can cover up your flaws with secrecy, lies, filters, Photoshop, or other means; but real eyes realize real lies. Be sure that you're not following someone who's wearing six layers of makeup to go to the gym. Be sure that you're not following someone's diet who only has a professional photoshoot once every few months. Follow the people who are showing you the results day in and motherfuking day out. The real people who you know are showing up to work everyday and living stable, productive lives without the help of numerous assistants, PEDS, personal trainers and a team of other professionals to manage their image. Look around at the people who have all the money, all the assistance, all the resources and still can't get what they want. Why take the advice of fakers? This world is real and you are real and you need real life guidelines. Earlier in the year I completed a little project I'd been meaning to do for ages - adding an automatic door closure the store room door. Just a little thing, but it means that I don't have to pull the door closed using my foot while carrying boxes. Which was never elegant! 😀 Now it just shuts and locks when I'm about two steps clear. Perfect! 👌 Well, almost perfect. As with every poorly researched project, one thing leads to another and while I now don't have to shut the door behind me, I do need to open it every time I go through it - even when it is unlocked, it still closes. When I'm shelf filling, that is a lot of trips, with a lot of boxes. 😞 Cue project #2. Pictured. 😂 I have resisted the urge to patent this device, but it works like a dream. 🤣 Door open for as long as I need it to be, and when I'm done, I can tap the door with my toe, the spoon slides down, the door closes and locks.
