So, there's only ONE fic of this ship on AO3, so I'm writing this in the hopes someone sees it and changes that. Why 1/2? Because this first part explains how they started dating, and the second focuses more on what they're like as a couple.

So, Dan has been adjusting to being half-human and living in Amity Park for a while. He is still on parole and serving his sentences without (much) complaint. But because most of them are errands or jobs that will recur in the future, he comes to that specific sentence he'd been putting off until last:

but that's not how doomed timelines work. those are always going to be doomed, it's factored in. there are a theoretically infinite number of timelines. they're not "real" and they only become "real" once they are subsumed back into the alpha (and even then they are still "doomed".) when trying to imagine a normal sburb game you can't count doomed timelines in that equation. they function to serve the alpha timeline through the time player's will (and we know they are a function of will because of the scene with dave and terezi on lohac; the doomed version that appears on the quest bed does because of dave's decision).

in aradia's case, she is especially predisposed to being strung along by fate, & she is the one who sets up her own time clone army from the future. she tells her past self that it happens because her future self told her. & aside from doomed timelines that contributed to the alpha in other ways (like the one that had part of scratch's code bought back) i'm inclined to interpret the sheer number of aradiabots as more of a byproduct of her suicidality than something indicating the difficulty of the session. after all, it's not like these are doomed timelines are attempts made from trying over and over again, but they are baked into the alpha.

whether or not a game has something like the aradiabot army depends on the type of time player they have (and potentially other circumstances in that alpha timeline). it's not a function of the difficulty of sburb in general.

random braincells knocking about got me thinking about the Dave who become Davesprite not really knowing about the dreambubbles or ultimate selves or what happened to doomed timelines or ANY OF IT when he had to make the choice to abandon the timeline and go back to save John and just having to trust in Rose’s word as a seer that the only way to save ANY of them was to ABANDON HER and how the HEROIC thing wasn’t to die for his friends it was to NOT DIE it was to LIVE and it STILL SUCKED

Davesprite did the heroic thing in letting Rose die and Dave Prime did the heroic thing by dying with Rose and just HHHHNG THE PARALLELS AND THE TRAGEDY AND THE TRAGIC PARALLELS AND THE TRAGEDY OF THE PARALLELS

Take your normal and Dream self to the sacrificial slab in your respective dream moon (Prospit/Derse) and have BOTH go God Tier

Void session, take all the Sprite Kernels and prototype yourself with literally all of them (Sprite^4 or something)

Be a Void player and just bug abuse your classpect until you can do all other classpects, it's gotta be possible with the way Void powers are stated to work

Time and Space player combo, go back in time but shift space forward so you don't get caught in yourselves. Repeat. Now you have the fastest transportation in existence, congratulations.

Already stated: Go God tier, wander The Void until you hit a doomed timeline, Prototype with that timeline's dream self of you into a Sprite, have that timeline version of you die on the Quest Bed, God tier again, repeat until all are one. (Or you're out of timelines where you can prototype with their dream self)
