Happy Nameday @lumei-xiv!
Not the best picture in the world sorry, but here is Humble with his koala - which he purchased some years ago after being convinced by a shady merchant that it was a miniature bear trained to seek treasure. Once it was explained to him that it was, in fact, a baby koala and the only thing it was likely to seek was an endless supply of eucalyptus leaves, it was entirely too late - the tiny marsupial had decided that Humble was its mother and squealed most piteously upon any attempt to remove it.
Fortunately, now it is a little older and more independent, it is content to be left for periods with a large amount of eucalyptus (which is rather expensive, as Humble soon discovered) and a warm blanket. However it still enjoys riding around on Humble's shoulder and snuggling into the fur trim of his armour.
Humble's Chocobo is a large and powerful destrier called Chrysanthemum, which he purchased shortly after arriving in Ul'dah, using the gil he had accumulated through his mercenary and caravan guarding work.
The Dunesfolk merchants of Ul'dah often delight in taking advantage of the more gullible young Hellsguard when they first arrive in the city - “fresh off the mountain" as they say in Ul'dah - and, in Humble's case, they thought it quite amusing to pretend that the Chocobo he purchased had a name they were certain he would never be able to spell.
Despite this, Humble has never sought to change Chrysanthemum's name - partly because it suits him rather well and partly because Humble figured that Chocobos didn't read anyway, so as long as he could call his steed by name, the exact letters probably didn't really matter.
For his part, Chrysanthemum is intensely loyal to Humble, who looks after him extremely well, and indulges his apparent fondness for (as Humble puts it) "lookin' all fancy", by crafting and maintaining a range of striking bardings for his peacockish companion.

Over the course of Hakan's journey, he has found love within two people.
For many years, Hakan's life lacked a lot of self discovery and indulgence. The life of a teacher, a scholar, and a healer gives precious little time for personal space, even if it did help him hide just how lonely he was. It's easy to get married to your job when you have nobody else at home to greet you and then you go to work and suddenly you have all these people around you!
Becoming a warrior of light was the best and worst thing to happen to Hakan for many reasons. But most importantly if he never took that first step he never would have met Marsak. Polite, loyal, and determined, he impressed Hakan with great ease, and that feeling of respect grew into admiration and desire. Reclaiming Bozja didn't happen overnight, it happened through years of hard work and struggling to make it a reality, and over that time they began to know each other better more and more. Though it made Hakan's heart nearly burst waiting for the conflict to settle before they had a chance to truly discuss it, but what's love without a bit of ache? As they began sharing tents, bathing together, helping each other train as the conflict raged on, they found comfort and safety in one another, and one day as a skirmish broke out and Marsak valiantly defended Hakan from danger... that's when he knew he was going to propose once the dust settled.
But meeting someone new didn't just open Hakan's eyes to new possibilities, it opened his eyes to feelings that were there but he never understood. Thubyrgeim, an excellent arcanist and a delightful mentor whom he had worked with for years started to look different to him. Did she change her hair? No. A new outfit? Not really. Hakan recalled when he first submitted his leave of absence paperwork to join the Scions, and how heavy his heart weighed when he left the comforts of the classroom. At the time, he thought it was only the feelings of fear and apprehension of signing up for something dangerous, and that he'd miss his students. But after learning so many new things about himself, he realized that he missed her presence. They'd worked together for years, but he barely knew her at all, and as he came back it finally dawned on him that he wanted to know more about her. And to his joy, she did too.
General notes: Marsak and Thubyrgeim are aware of each other, and are fine with the sort of V their relationship with Hakan creates. Currently, in my headcanon Thubyrgeim isn't looking for marriage, but you don't need to get married just to pursue romance.
11. Is there any existing character from other media that your character resembles? Was the resemblance intentional or was it a coincidence?
I think it was mostly unintentional, but there are certain characters who Humble resembles in terms of personality. There are some that he resembles in appearance, which were sort of intentional and sort of inevitable when going down the "barbarian with big axe" route.
So if you ever wondered what you'd get if you combined Conan the Barbarian, Cinderella, The Mountain from GoT and Samwise Gamgee... the end result would be a little bit like Humble.
He has the simple goodness and loyalty (and frequent sense of being out of his depth) of Sam. The kind of innocence and kindness of Cinderella, which has a transformative power all its own.
But he also has the brutal strength, rough-hewn power and straightforward approach of a Conan or Gregor Clegane.
I'm not sure if that makes sense to anyone but me though!

I've been playing FFXIV for over 3 years now. I've drawn my wol a handful of times. I've liked my art of him exactly 0 of those times. Until today. I'm pretty happy with how I've drawn him today.
