EXT. ROTKOV RIFT — DAY.
There was a gunshot, and the horned creature fell. She turned, and she saw him.
Dmitry. His steady hands held the gun he'd just used to protect her, and on his face, he wore a resolute, familiar expression. It was the man she'd married, and the man she'd left behind when she'd been taken to the Siberia base.
He affected calm and coldness, but she could still read him — she always could, even when they went months without seeing each other. She caught the faint widening of his eyes at the sight of her, and the rise of an emotion, something deep and monstrous, that he immediately smothered with his characteristic focus. It was a ruthlessness she'd also fallen in love with.
They eyed each other, and then she could tell he'd taken a decision—
He hit her temple with the butt of his gun and the world darkened.
INT. ROMANOV ESTATE LIVING ROOM — DAY.
She woke up on an unfamiliar couch, wearing unfamiliar clothes. Her heart dropped when she didn't feel her usual chain on her neck, the chain on which she kept her wedding ring as well as Dmitry's dog tags.

2. How does your OC remember their childhood? Is this an accurate reflection of what their childhood was actually like?
In his memory, he was living the high-life in the Alexander Palace, happily serving the Romanovs alongside his family of footmen. It was a cushy life compared to the average citizen, but it wasn't without it's own mundanity and pitfalls. Punishments and criticisms were always abound, though those tended to come from his father more often than from the royal family. Still, anything was better than those final days in Yekaterinburg. His rose-tinted glasses are strong, and it's probably because everything that came afterwards made him wish the bullet hit true.
15. What is your OC's fatal flaw?
Definitely his self-hatred. Or rather, his Beast-hatred? Dmitry hated what he had become the moment he came to from his embrace, as his only unfortunate source of vitae was from the barely warm bodies of his own family, and his masters. He still carries the guilt deep in his heart and damns the leech that made him this way. He hates himself. His urges. His proclivities. He doesn't have a reason to go on, yet he does. His apathy towards his own un-life nearly cost him just that many a time.
21. How does your OC handle criticism?
Pretty well, all things considered. He's more receptive to comments, complaints, etc., than most kindred would be. Granted, he's still rather young amongst his court, but he knows his "place". Being brought up in a servant family will do that to you.
44. Do others consider your OC to be scary or intimidating?
Not particularly. He's got a silver tongue, but soft hands. The respect he's garnered amongst his peers came more from his ability to smooth over dicey situations. It's for that reason his Prince, Valeria, trusts him to be the bearer of bad news. Some people are just so eager to shoot the messenger these days.
"Well, uh... it's not exactly somthin' I like thinking 'bout, much less talking. God above, I wish I could forget the feeling of my parents' cold blood in my mouth. Of Maria's. I shoulda' died with 'em. I shoulda'."
3. Have you ever killed while feeding? Was it accidental or not?
"Ah, who could ever resist baby's first frenzy? Of course I've had my share of kills, accidental or otherwise. That was back before surveillance cameras made their grand debut on a global scale, though. Oh yes, back in my day I was quite...ruthless."
