The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished #DengMingDao #moon #madrid #cityscape #tao https://www.instagram.com/p/CRrk-m6sSdU/?utm_medium=tumblr

Cherishing the beauty of silence ॐ As one progresses on the path, one seeks silence more and more. It will be a great comfort, a tremendous source of solace and peace. Once you find deep solitude and calm, there will be a great gladness in your heart. Here finally is the place where you need neither defense nor offense -- the place where you can truly be open. There will be bliss, wonder, the awe of attaining something pure and sacred. After that, you will feel adoration of silence. This is the peace that seems to elude so many. This is the beauty of Tao. — Deng Ming-Dao 365 Tao Daily Meditations #tao #meditation #mindfulness #awakening #spituality #universalconsciousness #zenbaboon #dengmingdao

Actions in life can be reduced to two factors: positioning and timing. If we are not it in the right place at the right time, we cannot possibly take advantage of what life has to offer us. Almost anything is appropriate if an action is in accord with the time and the place. But we must be vigilant and prepared. Even if the time and place are right, we can still miss our chance of we do not notice the moment, if we act inadequately, or if we hamper ourselves with doubts and second thoughts. When life presents an opportunity, we must be ready to seize it without hesitation or inhibition. Position is useless without awareness. If we have both, we make no mistakes.

TREE -- When I posted the first page from this book I didn't have an intention of posting anymore though lately the texts have felt especially in sync with what I've been experiencing and talking with friends about as well as writing about except articulated much more eloquently in these daily writings. The entry that's for today Augist 2, from the "365 Tao: Daily Meditations" by #dengmingdao is titled "#Tree". I don't really have anything to add except it completely resonates with me. The work, the goals, the success that our culture has evolved into valuing and celebrating and rewarding feels like achievement on the surface, but it's surface and ultimately, that collective encouragement to achieve I feel that pushes us towards something that is endless and #insatiable. Coincidentally, it overlaps in content with a post from the @davidlynchfoundation that I just listened to regarding "#success" - it doesn't last you just want more and more #ambitionmakesyouloookveryuglykickingscreamingguccilittlepiggy @thomyorke. #buddidism #thefournobletruths -- the truth of the cessation of #dukkha (#suffering). #nosmallthing #reprioritizing #selfawareness I guess I do have something to add #my2cents (at Planet Earth)
