With a creamy custard filling, these Little Custard Doughnuts are a delightful treat. They're ideal for sating your desire for sweets.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 tbsp granulated sugar. 1 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup milk. 1 egg. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/4 cup custard store-bought or homemade. Vegetable oil for frying. Powdered sugar for dusting.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a smooth batter forms. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350F 180C. Drop spoonfuls of the doughnut batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the doughnuts from the oil and drain on paper towels. Once they've cooled slightly, inject each doughnut with a small amount of custard using a piping bag. Dust the custard-filled doughnuts with powdered sugar. Serve warm and enjoy!
