[ID: Vault Boy ravenously eating a cartoonish ham. He is crouched into frame, clutching the ham tightly as if someone were going to take it away from him. He is very angry looking and drooling like some kind of beast or creature. End ID.]
a list of the phobias i struggle with:
agoraphobia - fear of open spaces, public spaces, in areas with no exits, etc.. altocelarophobia - fear of high ceilings acrophobia - fear of heights batophobia - fear of tall buildings emetophobia - fear of vomit pseudodysphagia - fear of choking when eating or getting choked deipnophobia - fear of eating in front of others/fear of eating in public megalophobia - fear of large objects (similiar to batophobia imo) monophobia - fear of being alone thanatophobia - fear of death xenophobia - fear of the unknown gerascophobia - fear of growing up
i'm a complex person. i feel so alone in this.
Dinner for 7
A King has no time for deipnophobic
There are many meals to eat      (The Spaniard liked fresh lampron) & maids to greet      (The Witch had hind at Hampton) wives to be had      (The Rose ate from his own dish) & wives to behead      (The German ate salted fish) some for breakfast      (The Child loved her sweet jelly) & others for bed      (The Widow ate pork belly)
And, with every meal they ate an ordered side of heir looms Too oft replied by empty plate Creating the hangriest of grooms
So beware all ye ladies If the king comes to call unless you have two necks answer not at all

Word of the Day #74
deipnophobia (n.) - a morbid fear of dinner parties
9/10/2013 - Whining instead of packing
I'm moving back to school tomorrow, so I'm writing this sprawled on my giant queen-size bed, enjoying the spacious mattress while I can. Tomorrow night I will be sleeping in a narrow twin size shitty college bed. My bed is surrounded by piles of clothes and books and half packed or unpacked boxes of all the things I may or may not be bringing with me to my final college home. I should be continuing to sort and pack, but fatigue and the heat and the giant spider I had to kill earlier are sapping away my motivation, so instead I've returned to the internet. I'm attempting to calm my anxious brain with a selection of folk music that Erik recommended earlier in the summer, so The Lone Bellow is accompanying these thoughts.
8/28/2013 - The State of the Union
It’s the end of August. The corner of northeastern Wisconsin that I currently inhabit is just beginning to drag itself out of a brief but brutal heat wave just in time for the public schools to start after Labor Day. I am sitting in the under air conditioned editorial corner of the local events magazine for which I toil, uncompensated and bored. I am working on a feature article about Christmas light displays, the people who go overboard and have synchronizers and music and thousands of strings of lights. Yes, in August. Because it’s for the November Holiday issue and because the deadline for the November Holiday issue is September 20th, but I leave to get ready for school on the 6th so I have to get all my stuff in then. Which I consider to be an absurd deadline, considering the fact that I only got this assignment a few days ago and nobody useful ever emails me back in a goddamn timely fashion. But I suppose they have better things to do than talk about their Christmas lights in August.
