Lumi - Decktamer
"This small cousin of the firefly is completely spherical... A little bit odd, especially when you consider the lack of aerodynamism in its body. Like its relatives, it uses bioluminescence to attract mates. Unfortunately, it's not quite smart enough to distinguish a potential mate from the glow of a Lantern Dog's light bulb."
A very basic, simple little cartoon bug with a glowing body and a pointy proboscis.
It is a potential starter, and also possibly the weakest monster in the game as it has only 1hp, is so sluggish that it will be outsped by most foes and only has an extremely weak attack. Its only real utility is its ability to make a monster more likely to be tamed, but it still has to survive a turn to do so.
Being a starter however, it does have the potential to evolve, rewarding you for keeping it alive for long enough.
One run, one win. Dunno what's wrong with the rest of you

This is another Roguelike Deckbuilder, with more of a focus on card game combat. It's very stylized with some impressive designs and art, with the most enjoyable part of the gameplay loop to me being the various random traits and skills creatures can randomly spawn with, making them feel different between playthroughs and making them feel much more worthwhile. It's certainly interesting learning to be okay with sacrificing some monsters and prioritizing collecting others to build the strongest deck possible for the end boss. Pokemon has kind of conditioned me to avoid letting your creatures die whenever possible, but that's kind of a mechanic you have to take advantage of here, especially since most of your early game monsters just won't cut it later on. I'm looking forward to the full game and seeing what other challenges and creatures it has in store.
