Silk Beetle - Decktamer
"The Silk Beetle can often be found dangling from trees in the dense forests of the abyss. It can produce up to four times its weight in silk, which it then uses to build strong webs to catch smaller insects. If this creature were brought back to the surface, it could allow us to mass-produce silk far more efficiently."
This four-legged beetle has a rather snail-like face with its long eyestalks, and a mass of silk covering its body.
Mechanically it's pretty poison-focused, either being immune to it or healing from it instead of taking damage. It usually has a way to inflict poison damage itself, which may make it pretty useful even later on despite being in the lowest threat-level. If nothing else, transferring its ability to something stronger could be good.
Its poison-focus is fairly surprising, since it doesn't actually have anything to do with its silk. I would have expected some sort of speed debuff, or that status that makes its opponent go last to represent hindering and entangling foes using its silk.
While not silk, this reminds me of the waxy filaments that protect some planthopper nymphs.
