It's #deafawarenessweek. I bet there are several people in your life who are hard of hearing and you don't even know it. I'm pretty much deaf in one ear due to damage caused by a medical condition I have (Menière's Disease). I lip read a lot and find busy social situations - and life generally - very stressful and exhausting. It can be very isolating when you're in a group conversation that others are enjoying but you can't because you're unable to hear what's being said. It's horrible when everyone else is laughing at a joke but you're just smiling awkwardly because you didn't hear it. The tips on this meme are indeed good for the workplace but they're useful for everyday life, too 👌🏼 #deafawareness
