Do you guys ever think about how much llorumi and garmasako parallel each other. Like yeah they're both tragic romances, they're both doomed to hell and back, but also you have a ship where you're basically shipping a demigod with just some normal woman. Except the woman is not normal because she has a shit ton of esoteric and mythological knowledge. Lloyd and Garmadon are two demigods, Misako and Harumi are two regular women with a shit ton mythology knowledge that forced those two to see them.
But also, Garmadon and Harumi are two doomed characters. They're doomed to forever hurt their loved ones, they're doomed to forever destroy. They hurt constantly and there's no end to it, and they take that hurt and pain out on others, specifically their loved ones.
Misako and Lloyd are two loving characters who continuously choose their s/o despite everything. Despite better knowledge, despite knowing it is going to end bad, they still choose Garmadon/Harumi. They forgive everything their s/o because it's understandable to them. Garmadon was corrupted by the Great Devourer, so of course Misako can forgive him, she knew him before he truly fell. Lloyd forgives Harumi and continuously chooses her because she's him. Because he's been in the same position she's trapped in. Because he feels guilty because he does blame himself for her fate. Because despite everything, she knows him in a way nobody else does.
And then how the two relationships differentiate too, like, Garmadon and Misako knew they were doomed and still went through with it. I honestly don't think they wanted children, Lloyd was really just an accident (I mean, Misako is clearly pretty old so she must have been older when she had Lloyd and I don't think Garmadon would've wanted a lineage considering his destiny was to destroy the world). Garmadon and Misako rushed into things and took all the time they could get even though it would never be enough
Lloyd and Harumi on the other know they're doomed too, but they hold each other at arms length. They know they hurt each other in ways nobody else can, they know they understand each other in ways nobody else does, and they know they're doomed. "What if" will hurt less than "what was"
