On the heavily debated topic of Lin Beifong's hairstyle
I believe that I am an idiot because I've always felt confused on this. Like, I know it's short, but is it pinned back? Is it wavy or rolled? Well, I think I finally found the obvious answer, confirming that I am not as obsessed with the 1920s-1950s as I thought I was...
Lin Beifong's hair is...literally just a pincurl set.
Like MAYBE she pins back the front bits (we see them fall in the Amon scene), but as for the rest of it? Literally just pin curls.
On the bright side, it confirms my need for pinup Lin.
This concludes my ted talk.
🥺👉🏾👈🏾🥺
You can't imagine how difficult it was to take selfies in-focus while keeping this gorgeous but very slippery satin blouse from slithering out of place *and* trying not to make weird faces while concentrating on all of the above. I mean... um... I am naturally graceful and effortlessly photogenic, yep. 😆 #curvy #goth #romanticgoth #albuquerquemodels #glasses #cateyeglasses #decolletage #satin #blacksatin #satinblouse #plungingneckline #vintagestyle #vintagereproduction #vintagehair #pincurls #oldhollywoodglamour #vintageglamour (at Albuquerque, New Mexico) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWm7okUNPEP/?utm_medium=tumblr
re: the vaccine thing -- apparently people with mental health issues (specifically bipolar & schizophrenia) are more likely to develop severe covid-19 symptoms? the lancet psychiatry journal says this is because mental health issues are often comorbid with "unstable housing, unemployment, lack of education, and poor access to quality health care". so some places are trying to prioritize vulnerable populations for vaccines & boosters i'm assuming?
in my country vaccinations are by priority category and those comorbidities would just most likely put them in a category that doesn't really have anything to do with their mental health issues
but thank you dear for sharing this!
i'm just really frustrated because my younger brother and i are the only ones in my family who aren't fully vaxxed (the last person who got fully vaxxed in my family was my older brother and that was in july) and we're both registered persons with disabilities with the city so they know we depressed!!!! they've known for years!!! and to see that question added to my city's health monitor is just >:(((( because when they started rolling out vaccines my younger brother and i thought we would qualify under the third priority category ("A3:adults with comorbidities"), even like low priority within a3??? but nooooo we're just here constantly updating our health profiles online hoping to get a text from the government for a damn vaccine slot and seeing people from the fourth and fifth priority categories get their shots
ughhhhh sorry for dumping all of this, i'm just really tired of waiting :((
edit: it’s also not all of my city’s fault, it’s mostly the department of health’s since that’s who they’re taking their cues from
