Basil Chaffles INGREDIENTS 1 large egg 1 tbsp almond flour ¼ tsp baking powder 1 tsp @mammachia chia seeds 2 tsp fresh basil, finely chopped ½ tsp black pepper ½ cup part-skim @kraft_brand mozzarella, shredded ¼ cup @auricchio Parmigiano-Reggiano, grated Yields 2 chaffles DIRECTIONS In a mixing bowl, whisk together egg, flour, baking powder, chia seeds, basil, and black pepper. Stir in mozzarella and Parmigiano-Reggiano. Set aside. Preheat waffle maker. After the waffle maker is preheated, spray both sides with cooking spray. With a spoon, pour ½ the batter onto the center of the waffle iron and spread it out evenly. Close the waffle maker and cook the chaffle to desired doneness, about 3 minutes. Carefully remove the chaffle from the waffle iron and repeat with the remaining batter. Allow the chaffles to cool about 2 to 3 minutes. They will crisp up as they cool. . . .
