Hooray for strawberry waffles! 3 great things about my waffles: 1. They are so yummy, they don’t even need syrup! 2. They are super healthy, providing fiber, protein, calcium, potassium, omega-3s, and lots of other vitamins and minerals (and no empty calories from refined sugar, flour, or oil) 3. They don’t stick to the waffle maker! (No oil, butter, or spray required!) Ingredients: 1 ripe banana 1/2 cup plant-based milk 1 cup rolled oats 2 Tbsp flax seeds 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup berries (blueberries work best in my opinion) 2 Tbsp orange zest Instructions: 1. In a blender, process the banana then blend in all other ingredients. 2. Heat in a waffle maker. I make mine in a #miniwafflemaker I adapted this recipe from the “Prevent and Reverse Heath Disease Cookbook” by Ann & Jane Esselstyn. Ann Esselstyn’s idea of using orange zest to add sweetness and flavor is brilliant. I can’t believe I am enjoying waffles without syrup! #waffles #miniwafflemaker #chaffle #wafflerecipe #recipe #vegan #vegetarian #veganrecipes #plantbased #wholefoodplantbased #wfpb #nosos #oilfree #sugarfree #saltfree #healthy #healthiswealth #breakfastideas #healthybreakfast #bananaoatwaffles #brightlinebites (at Houston, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCAAqDNBfXj/?igshid=14784h2qtyoaf
