We don't know Logan's canonical age which means there could be anywhere from a 6 to 9 year age gap between them. Which, yeah, is gross. But this gets commented under literally every single piece of art depicting the two of them together, even when they've obviously been aged up. They could be married with a kid and someone would still comment "Umm she's literally nine..."

The majority of fics I've seen of them have Louise as AT LEAST 18-21 and reuniting with Logan as they're both adults. And the minuscule amount I've seen that kept her at 9 and him as a teenager are written to be gross and creepy on purpose not that I've read every fic out there but...

Some people like to ship gross shit. Idk what to tell you. But there is no little nine year old girl in a bunny hat being hurt here because Louise Belcher does not exist. It's fine. You'll live.

"I don't care about the age gap, I care that they CANONICALLY HATE EACH OTHER!"

In Logan's latest episode they literally spend an entire afternoon/evening playing games with one another. They even work together to retrieve a random kid's stuffed animal. Even if they make the games into a competition, if they really hated each other they wouldn't have been out there that whole time

And maybe that episode hadn't come out when people made those comments, but even in the earlier episodes, we get plenty of not-just-hateful interactions between them. They work together to escape that Mommy and Me class. Louise rescues him from a vicious snowball assault. Even said she respected his eavesdropping skills lol. I think we can easily label them as frenemies at this point

I guess no other characters on the show have ever developed feelings (or possible feelings) for people they initially disliked. Likeee Gene to Courtney? Or Tina to Zeke? Ever heard of them?

"He literally made her cry that one time!"

Ok well she literally made him think a guy was about to cut his ears off with a switchblade that one other time so... Idk maybe call this one a wash?

Also, the time she saved him from the snowball attack? Was literally the next episode they interacted in after the one where he made her cry. I think Louise is over it, guys.

"Why ship Louise with Logan when Rudy is right there?"

Why eat a pizza bagel when there's a blueberry muffin right there? Some people just have different tastes, idk what else to tell you man

Also the people who bring this up like some people just forgot Rudy is right there to ship with Louise?? Like no, I didn't forget, I chose to ignore him ♥️

Fr tho this is like a weird thing with shipping as a whole where people act like you have to pick the cutest most wholesome ship to fawn over and probably project yourself on one of the characters and if you like something weird and fucked up it's 1) because you apparently didn't notice the less controversial option or 2) you want a fucked up relationship irl which is dumb but also a whole other topic of conversation lol

"People only ship them cause of what Gene says in that one episode..."

Another new weird shipping culture idea is that you can only ship something if it has a possibility of becoming canon. And since Gene said they're going to reconnect in their 30s and get married, we think it's going to happen?? Weird, but an actual comment I saw. Idc if it's ever going to be canon or not, I just think they're neat

Gene also had a throwaway joke line about Louise dating Mr. Fischoeder. Does that mean they're going to happen? Is that a reason to ship them? Literally who cares alksjflsk

If nothing else, I think it's at least a sign that the show itself doesn't take these things too seriously, and I wish some certain antis didn't either ♥️
