Titans Return Pick-ups

Krok, Doublecross, and Quake.

Discounted down to the reasonable price of $7.99 at Ollie’s, I finally had to pick these up.

Krok just stands out with one of the absolute best colorful color schemes ever to catch the eye. Quake was just a badass character no one ever really remade and Doublecross looked quite cool at this size. Now, I love me some Triggerhappy (the other character in this wave), but something about his Titans Return rendition didn’t satisfy my personal aesthetics for the character, so I left him on the peg. Now, I’m waiting for my Toyhax sticker order....

Walmart Exclusive Marvel Legends Thanos. Just came out. Full retail. He looks so damn good! The blue on him is AMAZING!!! You just have to see in person how much he pops! Poseability is somewhat hindered, though. Just look at that shit eating grin. Hard to believe how bad the BAF version looks in comparison.

BAF Metamorpho. Bought online. Not in the greatest shape. Oh well...

Lizzie is !@#$’N HUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGE. Picked it up cuz it fits in well just about any action figure line. Mer-Man could ride it. Mythic Legions. Killer Croc. Croc Master. X-Men Savage Land theme, anyone?

Good thing I had instructions.

SRC God Sigma. An online buy. Wish the cartoon was available somewhere subtitled, so I could be more familiar with em’. But giant super robot shows are all pretty much the same — Aliens attack and a giant super robot has to save the day!

Figure-Rise Legendary Super Saiyan Broly

Sold my S.H. Figuarts Broly awhile back when I read they were releasing this Figure-rise Broly kit. Back then, before any side-by-side scale images, I figured this kit would be bigger than the S.H. Figuarts Broly, since all the other Figure-rise character models are, buuuuut... this one is not. Turns out it’s a tad bit smaller overall. Gamble lost.

Now, it is an impressive looking kit, but it obviously can’t be played with like the S.H. Figuarts version. Some say the S.H. Figuarts version has wonky proportions, but it’s not like Broly was the most anatomically correct character ever. The real kicker for me is, this model kit, unlike the other Figure-rise releases, contains no clear energy blast effect parts. S.H. Figuarts Broly HAD GREEN ORB EFFECT PARTS, why the !@#$ couldn’t this model kit have them??? It makes more sense a Bandai model kit would have more effect parts instead of the action figure, but nooooo. Bandai had their own agenda and included extra faces for the Goku and Vegeta models with this Broly. -_-

It is a good and fantastic looking kit, but I was expecting something better, something more. It’s like one of those things where you really hype yourself up for a movie, only to be let down because your expectations were too high, even though it really was a good movie.

SuperNova Gundam Sandrock Custom

Quite possibly the most pain in the ass kit I’ve ever built so far—more so than any Kotobukiya kits. The elbow joints on each side broke in half and had to be superglued together. Repeated fitting issues/problems, being stabbed by sharp edges, and a forced break in building models for months due to this model just not being fun to build at all.

But, there is a payoff.
