VARKA FICTIONAL CG/DAD MOODBOARD!! + HEADCANONS BECAUSE IF NOBODY ELSE WILL DO IT THEN I. WILL!

Headcanon time!! Bear with me guyz I haven’t done this before ;w; I just need to fill the Dad Varka void IMMEDIATELY!!

Also take everything with a grain of salt, this is how I interpret him based on what little we know, this could be OOC in some aspects. All can be read as him being a CG or genuinely just a dad to a child version of you. Or whatever else, Whatever u want!! It’s ambiguous!!

- Says he doesn’t like My Little Pony, secretly goes “Alright, Applejack!” Under his breath as soon as she comes on screen when/if you watch it.

- “Too old to give your old man a hug? Nonsense! C’mere!” Proceeds to squeeze the life out of you in the most secure bear hug known to man.

- Takes you camping all of the time. 1000% a wilderness dad.

- Unintentionally hard back pats.

- The kind of dad to randomly give you a cup of hot chocolate during winter and not elaborate further. Or wake you up in the middle of a late camping trip to hand half-asleep you some food. And you’ll just sit there for a moment, not registering what’s happening yet.

- Loves to play pretend with you. Will 100% chase you around and pretend to be an evil dragon or something. “Better run, or I’ll eat you up!! Raghhh!!!”

- Either a bear hugger, or a grab-you-up and spin you around hugger. Or a mix of both.

- Plays sword fight with you, dies so dramatically if you pretend stab him.

- Snores loudly. Also does the trademark dad hacking in the early morning. iykyk XD

- Tosses you around to make you laugh and lets you dangle on his arms. (Makes him feel super cool and strong)

- “There ya are, Champ!” headlocks you from behind and ruffles your hair.

- Becomes a Mother bear whenever you’re in danger or hurt/upset.

- LOVES to (light-heartedly) embarrass you if you’re a teen. He channels every percent of corny and cringe father he possibly can.

- Would 100% do crazy things like, instead of making a simple snowman with you in the winter, he would make an entire igloo war base with you.

- If you’re a toddler, or honestly, he’d probably be strong enough to do this with anybody. But he will pick you up by the back of the shirt/jacket or by the hood and carry you like a handbag. In fact, he holds babies and toddlers in every way except the normal way. He probably invents ways.

- Uses his Anemo vision to mess up your hair.

- Will do that thing where he twists the chains of the swing SUPER tight, to the point you’re super high off of the ground, then lets you go and laughs as you spin like a beyblade. He’ll stop you himself if you ask before you’re fully unraveled, though.

- Records any school event/graduation/other you have, but is really bad at it and all you hear in the recording is his loud cheering.

“Ignore my dad cheering guys” “RAAAAAAA—-“

- Teaches you things like how to fish, shoot a bow, hold a sword, ride a horse, and more.

- Likes to jumpscare you and playfully tackle you.

- “Five nights as Freddy’s…? What? Oh, is Freddy a new friend a’ yours? Well, I don’t mind you spending the night at their house, but five nights seems a tad much, no? I mean, as long as Freddy’s parents don’t mind.” He’s SO confused it’s hilarious.

- Sends you STACKS of letters when on expeditions. He misses you so bad when he’s not with you. Hugs you extra long when he’s back.

- He was never an Alcoholic, but he still drank often. But he’s cut back on that significantly when he got you. Even though he’s a genuinely really good drunk. He doesn’t want to scare you or do something stupid when inebriated, even though he would never, even when super drunk. He doesn’t want to take that risk.

- Helps you make box forts or other forts out of furniture from the house.

- Tries to read you bedtime stories. But gets frustrated and ends up rambling about his adventures instead. Which honestly gets you to sleep faster.

- At first glance, most would assume he’d be all tough-love and hard on you. But he’s such a softie for his kid..

- If you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ Community, he will be so supportive…! “Yeahhh!! My kid is in the LBGQE Community!!” Again, he’s so confused. TwT But he’s got the spirit. He will 1000% pull a Joel Miller on anyone who is Homophobic/Transphobic to you. Straight up full body tackle, no questions asked.

- If someone deadnames you (if you have a deadname) he will death stare them and ask casually “Who? Don’t think I’ve heard of that name before!” in a calm yet mildly threatening manner.

- Shoulder rides and piggy back rides 100%.

- Shockingly a really good cook, especially over campfire.

- Buys you lots of wooden toys, Scheilch animals and plushies.

- Loves making S’mores with you.

- DRIVING IN MY TRUCK RIGHT AFTER A BEER—

- If there were cars in Teyvat, he would be a truck dad. 100%.

- Will match with you, even if you’re wearing pink. He’s very secure in his masculinity and gives zero fucks what anyone might think.

- I feel like he would lowkey be a wood worker as a hobby…. NO. STOP. NOW I’M JUST MAKING HIM JOEL MILLER. SOMEONE STOP ME!!

- Lets you steal his shirts because he thinks you look adorable in them.

- Soooo many bad dad jokes.. He would get along with Cyno, I’m calling it NOW!

- Likes to go ragdoll like Bandit did in that one Bluey episode and smirks when you try to pull him.

- Tbh I really do feel like he’d give Joel Miller and Bandit vibes as a father/CG.

- Makes so much soup when you’re sick. He gets so worried. Probably consults Barbara every .5 seconds.

- Will probably sleep through you crawling all over him. Yet somehow immediately wakes up when theres any other sound in the house.

- Hangs up your drawings in his office if you like to draw.

Terms of endearment he would use for you:

Prince/Princess(Or a neutral version if one exists), Buddy, Champ, Baby, Sweetheart, Monkey, Monster, Spitfire, Warrior, Angel, Rascal, Darlin’, Firefly, Sunshine, Wolfpup, Wolfy.
