The many boyfriends of Apollo singing about him:
The first meeting between Apollo and Cyparissus <3
if I had a nickel for each time one of apollo’s lovers turned into a plant, i’d have three nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened thrice

Recently, because I was bored, I was doing research on Apollo's lovers (the turned-i to-trees-or-herbs-ones), and found out about another male lover of his.
The boy was named Cyparissus or Kyparissos -cypress- (A.G: Κυπάρισσος), who was beloved by Apollo dearly. Also, he had a favourite deer which was gifted to him by Apollo.
One day, the boy accidentally killed the sleeping deer with a hunting javelin.
While the boy was grieving over the animal, it got turned into a cypress, symbolising grief.
Fun fact, there is a painting done in 1834 by Alexander Andreyevich Ivanov that pictures the god himself, Cyparissus and Hyacinthus that were chilling together (nude, half-nude) with Apollo teaching them music. (So, a threesome between a god, a Spartan prince and a boy.)
(TW: Nude or half-nude men; visible genitals) The painting is gorgeous, If you want, take a look.
(P.S. there is a version that the boy attracted some other deities; knowing the fact, that Hyacinthus have done the same, I conclude that, somehow, Apollo falls in love with amazingly strongly smoking hot men.)
