Hi. How are you? your blog is great. I read in your bio you're a engineering student and I'm about to start studying engineering so can you please give me some studying advices and how to handle it because we all know engineering can be a bit crazy
Hello! I’m fine. How are you? Thank youuu! Hey, Engineering is really just a way of thinking about things. Engineers shape the world that everybody else lives in, it’s crazy and cool to know what goes on behind the scenes in your everyday life. Here are my studying tips to survive your chosen course:
Form a Study Habit. After 30 minutes when you got home, start reviewing your notes or revising it. Cramming is not a good idea. Take time to study even for 2 hours every night. And if you must make the Saturday night party, know you’ll have to spend the afternoon at the library. If you’re spending the day hitting the books, plan an hour off at suppertime, and a treat for dessert.
Make Checklists. or have an Assignment Planner.
Challenge yourself. Every night, push yourself to answer 2-3 problems but don’t solve problems of the same type that you already know how to solve. It’s like preparing for a boxing match by just practicing a jab. Hehe.
Take good notes and keep them all. It’s important!! Write everything or take pictures of te lecture and write it after class. Keep all your notes and exams, you can have them as a reference later on. It’ll be so nice if you will have your own Formula notebook where you can easily track all the formula you need. Keep it in your bag always.
Look for references. Don’t focus on just one book. Explore your local library, bookstores or watch tutorial videos on YouTube.
Choose your friends W I S E L Y. Have a social life, be nice to people, join a study group. Go out. Have fun. Party with them but choose friends who believe in you, motivates you, and inspires you to work harder.
DO NOT GIVE UP. Last semester, I almost failed a class (Structural Theory), I had to take the removal exam. I cried the whole night and asked myself why is it so hard? do i need to shift now?. A friend texted me that crying and self pity will not help me to pass, understanding the concept and solving problems will. You will come to a point where you want to give up your dream but always remember, nobody said it would be easy but everybody said it would be worth it. Work hard and do not ever give up, young engineer! :)
Have fun. Enjoy learning new things. Enjoy solving problems. Enjoy Engineering! =)

Thank you for dropping by, anon! God bless and strive hard! =)
January 16, 2016 Current desk situation. Reviewing for my Hydrology exam today. I hope reading and writing definitions 10 times will help me in memorizing. 🙃🙂
