I feel like I've been stuck in a years-long rut in trying to secure a phd award. it has become imminent now simply because I cant lead my research group without a phd despite the experience and skills developed under an excellent mentor and leader. However, I am glad whatever stuff I am made of is strong because no rejection has ever discouraged me from achieving my objectives and goals - it does hurt sometimes to have delays

Reminiscing on my time at Oxford. I saw Abingdon-on-Thames; rumored to be the oldest town in England by some local sources, then visited the OCIS where i had a cup of tea and discussion related to work opportunities in Oxford, and finally walked around the outdoor market in the city center and got some organic ice cream 🍦 if being given a chance to explore the academic environment at oxford, do take it - it is truly an enriching experience, from meeting intellectual, educated people to Oxford fashion to farmers markets 👩🌾
