Ice cream shop. Bake shop. Unlimited creation options. Mind-blowing flavor combos. The Baked Bear features the surprisingly rare business model - customized ice cream sandwiches. In all honesty, shouldn’t this be a mega chain?
My custom order, pictured above, is a salted caramel sugar cookie, rocky road ice cream, and a confetti cookie. It was grrreat! I will admit to being too cursory with the menu - had I inspected it more closely, or been prompted by the surfer-type clerk, I would have rolled it in oreo crumbles and definitely had it “pressed” (warmed up in what I imagine to be a panini press)! I tried their new, blue “bear batter” ice cream flavor - blue cake batter with brownie chunks - and found it to be too rich for my tastes. The ice cream flavors are super standard otherwise, and equivalent to an Edy’s or Baskin Robbins in quality. The cookies were excellent, and tasted quite similar to a Publix sugar cookie, which is a dear compliment. My treat was, reasonably, quite a mess to eat but still so much fun! I hope I get to give this another shot in the future. This is a Bear I wouldn’t mind finding in my backyard ;)
