I divided the dough into four, the brown is chocolate and rest are vanilla, dyed yellow, orange, and a kinda ruddy orange—which is just orange + a little of the chocolate to darken it (also i completely winged the amount of each colour needed, which you'll see the consequences of very soon)

First steps are to make the orange into a thick cylinder and the dark orange into a smaller cylinder.

Once the dough chilled, I used the small cutter to turn the orange log into a crescent shape, then put the dark orange in that space (the extra orange dough was added on the end so the doughs would match length)

Hot dog

While the hot dog chills, I made yellow triangles for the rays and the chocolate ones for the spaces between—the rays need to be chilled completely! Otherwise they'll get a little wonky (like mine)

(oh no, the consequences) Surround the hot dog with the rays. I did three rays at a time, filled the gaps and let that chill before flipping it to add the rest on top

I filled the rest of the gaps and added more to cover the rays completely and even out the shape, and also cut off the extra from the center (which was baked into samples ^_^)

Added the rest of the dough to round out the shape, let it chill through, and then sliced it!
