Don’t have much to say about this one, I thought it’d be funny
I love the Magisterium series so much (I’ve been re-reading it lately), but I’m feeling a little sad over some of the missed opportunities and things that could’ve happened in the book :(
For example, Call’s “evil overlord list/point system” thing had so much potential ( in my opinion) to create more internal conflict in Call.
Like, imagine if he took the list more seriously on a bigger scale. I mean things like over analyzing everything he ever did in his entire life and even stopping himself from liking foods or things that Constantine liked so he didn’t earn himself any evil overlord points (Imagine Alastair wondering why his son suddenly hates his favorite ice cream). Maybe Call even slightly tries to change his personality or who he is as a person to make sure he doesn’t resemble Constantine.
I feel like with enough development, the point system could have become a much bigger problem for Call than it had been in the books. That also means it would have been addressed more ( I think the only other person who knows about it is Aaron when he was in Call’s head and he only mentioned it once) as a mode of self deprecation (I think) that Call uses to punish himself for “being” the Enemy of Death.
I just feel like it had so much potential, yk?
Anyways thanks for coming to my TedTalk :D
Yeah I know Call and Aaron are meant to parallel Constantine and Jericho, but has anyone thought about the fact that Alex and Call ALSO parallel Constantine and Jericho, with Call now being Jericho? (Alex and Drew do as well but that's another story)
Maybe i will add color

I was eating my cereal, minding my own business, when a dumb (genius) idea came to me like a fucking prophetic vision
Magisterium AU where everything is the same but Con's soul is active in Call's body the same way Aaron's was. So in TGT they're all just chilling in Call's head and Con and Aaron are just fed up with Everything He Does™
