Easter Eggs
On Disc 3, you can listen to audio outtakes from James Taylor. To do this, go to the extras menu for Deep Space Homer. Then, highlight "Play with commentary" and press right. An icon of Bart's ear will appear on the right, and press enter on the icon.
On Disc 4, there is another, but secret, audio commentary for the animatic for Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song. To do so, go to the main extras menu (press left, then enter) and select "Art & Animation". Normally, selecting "Animatic with commentary" plays part of the animatic for said episode with commentary by Matt Groening, David Silverman, Bob Anderson, Mike Anderson, and Lance Kramer. To get to the secret commentary, highlight the "Animatic" option on the menu, then press left to highlight the 100th episode ribbon. Pressing enter on it will show the animatic, but with a different audio commentary by the same five mentioned commentators for the normal commentary, and with the addition of Lance Wilder, Paul Weed, and Wes Archer commentating as well for this secret commentary.
There are semi-secret animations in each disc's main menus. If you highlight the "Extras" option and press up, you will highlight an object in the room (pressing left or right will highlight a second object if there is one). Pressing enter on the highlighted object will play an animation or sound.
Disc 1: You can highlight the gramophone and the lever on the right; the gramophone plays some music, while the lever activates an alarm.
Disc 2: You can highlight the television and the casino sign; the television shows the Itchy & Scratchy intro, while the casino sign flashes.
Disc 3: You can highlight the Lisa Lionheart doll on the counter to make it say the following Malibu Stacey phrases: "My name is Stacey, but you can call me (whistle)" and "Thinking too much gives you wrinkles".
Disc 4: You can highlight the geode and the Marge plant; the geode sparkles, while the Marge plant frowns and murmurs.
