Fishy Business
We have a mostly(?) planted 75 gallon tank for our common pleco, Smudge. It's been a bit of a game to see what plants he likes, where he likes them, and what he will devour or dig up (idk where that anubias went). He does deeply love his tunnel and having lots of sandy open ground just to be, so many of thr plants are pushed to the corners of the tank. I'm trying some carpeting up front where he usually doesn't go, so the shrimp and any possibly baby mollies have more safe places. The shrimp, more than anyone, seem to be enjoying the new planting.
The pea puffer tank (20 gallons) is starting to come along nicely, as we change the aquascaping from Smudge-friendly to pea puffer-friendly. This is also where all the plants that Smudge loves too much (or to munch, same same) go, like the banana plants. I'm deeply glad I took photos of it, since it is allowing me to look more intentionally at the hard scaping, which I will have to fiddle with, since it is currently very unbalanced and the Amazon sword is getting smooshed under the driftwood.
And yes, Smudge, our chief aquascaper.
Could you make a plecotomus fish (aka the common pleco or suckermouth catfish ) stim board please! There are about 630 species but the common one is perfect!
They're the little fish you see stuck to the side of the fish tank at the pet store :D
Been currently going through a pleco era and they're so silly :D Thank you!
FUCK YEAH LITTLE GUYS

Daily fish fact #508
Common pleco!
These fish can frequently reach sizes of 50 cm in the wild (20 inches). They’re native to northeast South America, but they’re also seen in the aquarium trade — though, it’s good to keep in mind that many species are incorrectly sold under the same name “common pleco”!
Check out this absolute unit of a pleco I saw at the aquarium today.

watch these two idiots for me for a few seconds thanks
Traded on a local page for this poor guy cause he was in a 10 gallon before with a dwarf crayfish and a goldfish and needed a bigger tank, luckily I had a big tank I was planning on putting a pleco in.
If there's any pleco fans out there that might know what kind of pleco I have, that'd be great. I think he's a common but it could be a sailfin, or even an different variation.
