"Why do Pallas cats always look grumpy?"
"Pallas kittens."
The sheer roundness of this kitten must be admired.

And this post here shows there are a couple of different replies there were of course hundreds of replies. I even replied which I will now put here but besides making a joke about the famous quote, it was also Bloomsday
Morning Run!
With a little over a week until my first triathlon (goal: finish), I've been trying to sneak in as much training as is possible. And with summer heating up, I've been trying to push my mornings earlier and earlier.
Which means I'm absolutely stoked that I made it out before 8am this morning! And with 25 minutes of sustained running and a pace clearly below 15 minutes per mile. Wins all around!
Except I didnt see any doves or my favorite red pigeons. That was sad.
friend is trying to convince me this is a common experience and I do not believe her, so
Do you expect to be paid back if you pay for something for your friend while you’re hanging out? (I.E. a ride, a meal, a trinket.)
Yes, always
Yes, but only if it’s above a limit of money
No, never
I don’t buy things for my friends.
bald button
For a more illustrative example, say you go to the movies with a friend and you buy them popcorn, do you expect them at some point to send you money back via cash or through an app of some kind? Will you be upset if they don’t?
I chose "No, Never." But that is incorrect.
If I buy popcorn, you get the candies (or the tickets)
If I buy dinner, you get me next time.
It's about establishing a relationship where you kind of owe each other so you *have* to go out again. It's a promise to keep hanging out, a little friendship bond.
If it's a large group outing and I put down my credit card, I best see everyone pulling out their phones and Venmo/Zelle-ing me.
I have started following the journey of a German soccer fan in the US for the world cup

Favorite part about living by the Lake; my morning meeting wars canceled so I ran out for a swim!
Any hawker centre, Singapore
Have you been here?
I have been here
I have not been here
And a classic hawker center breakfast at Tiong Bahru! One of my top three hawker centers (Zion Road and Chomp Chomp rounding out that list).
Happy pride!
Let me know in my inbox if there are any other flags you would like to see me draw :]
Edit: I’m gonna turn off my asks temporarily while I go through my requests bc if I get any more I fear I may explode 😭😭 (I’ll turn my asks back on after I finish all of them though!)

This may be the best Pride merch I've seen from a major corporation.
Levi's said yes, actually. Assless chaps and a biker vest. Happy Pride.
And the assless chaps sold out on June 1.
They also specifically contacted members of the leather community, used them as models iirc, and donated $100k to Outright International. They talked the talk and walked the walk and put their money on it too. I don't really care that I can't afford and don't want this merch, I love to see my community getting the respect it deserves. Levi's said, "We make jeans which gays wear lots of jeans? Oh leather daddies? Let's call them."
I think Levi's donates to Outreach International every year too, as well as sponsoring pride events and other community support. They were offering Same Sex domestic partner benefits to employees in the 90s, and have been very public about their support for pro-lgbt legislation all through the 2000s.
So, you know, a giant corporation that walks the walk pretty consistently.
