DFW Retrocomputing Fall 2025 Meetup
Fun old tech on display at the Fall 2025 Dallas/Fort Worth area Retrocomputing Meetup on the 18th of October, 2025.
The event was presented by the Vintage Computing Collective of North Texas and sponsored by Mouser Electronics.
Info-64 Issue #6
While this issue (placed in part through Benn Dunnington's editorial criticising the coverage of some other computer magazines) was still trying to give away a Commodore Plus/4, it was much more impressed with the upcoming Commodore 128 and LCD portable. It noted the Atari ST, but wondered if Atari could "even survive long enough to bring these products to market," reminded everyone Jack Tramiel "makes promises easily, and keeps them with difficulty", and was willing to wait for the "AMIGA-MACHINE".
Some of DLCC's 1980's Commodore Computer Hardware
Some of my 1980's Commodore computer hardware, including 1541 5¼" floppy disk drives, 1541-II 5¼" floppy disk drives, a Commodore cassette tape unit, miscellaneous video connectors, cables, power bricks, and more.
And the adventure continues! 👍
Books & Manuals!
Commodore PET, VIC-20, C64, C128, and general 6502 stuff. Mostly programming-focused, but a few general purpose manuals are in the mix too. Some cover hardware, though not in depth.

Commodore 128
Ad for SSI computer games, for IBM, Apple, Atari ST, and Commodore 64, 128, and Amiga (White Dwarf 105, September 1988) -- Strategic Simulations Inc made a wide variety of games, often modeled after board wargames, many with historical themes. This year also saw the release of their first licensed AD&D games. Games Workshop stores in the UK were retailers for their physical media.
