the masculine urge to join the army air corps before the draft and befriend some random loner with a pretty face, give him my name, annoy him into being best friends, become so codependent it hurts, so much so that we are known as a package deal, go through loss and tragedy together, make me the love of his life, take one weekend away from him and lose him, lash out at everyone and everything, give away the jacket he always hated before heading up into the sky and on a suicide mission as we always did together— but this time my fort gets shot down and now, parachute into enemy territory, have him used against me by my imprisoners, finally see him again and have a gay ass cinematic reunion in a POW camp, lose hope, but create a distraction for him to get away, overrun the stalag and go back to base, surprise him over the radio and use his given name like the bisexual bastard i am, and then stuff away all my feelings to watch him get married.
