Review: Timp trail shoe. First run, 20 miles on the clay loop. Altra has come out with another trail shoe, the Timp. This one sits above the Lone Peak 3.5 and below the Olympus, with regards to cushion. I added my Caterpy Laces yesterday and kept them on my feet for a few hours and the Timp felt amazing. Nice roomy foot shaped toe-box, asymmetrical lacing, so you don't get pressure points on the top of your feet and a highly reflective mesh adding the safety aspect to the design. With its 29mm stack height and 4mm of outsole lugs, it's hard to think of terrain that this shoe isn't suited to. I'm spoiled for choice with Altra trail shoes. I love my King MT's for anything with a lot of down hill or deep mud (the Velcro strap stops your feet sliding forward on down hills and keeps the shoes on your feet with mud). The LP3.5 and Olympus have been great for almost every Trail condition I've thrown at them but the Timp just seems to hit every aspect I want/need in a trail shoe. #run #running #runfloridarun #clayloop #runallthemiles #runnersworld #instarunners #runnerslife #caterpylaces #altrarunning #altrasforultras #runlong #hammernutrition #hammerfamily #howihammer #gotyourbak #igrunners (at 10 Mile Clay Loop)
