Woeful Shadows Chap 8 Teaser
The Wenclair section of dealing with the demon assault on Huntrix and Co is a bit limited here, mostly because it's not a major part of their story, but instead more about how their story touches other people.
There's some mild sexy times here, but I'm not sure it rises to the level of a lemon... more of a lime. (Again, I date myself by using the critrus scale of sexiness in a fic)

Enid relaxed and looked around the room. âHard to think you were playing All the Things She Said on your cello just earlier today.â The werewolf whispered, then leaned her forehead down to bump into Wednesdayâs. âIâll get some water bottles and we can wash up.â
The oracle nodded and they reluctantly broke away from each other to go in different directions, Wednesday walking back into the rear rooms of the first floor while Enid walked into the kitchen. It wasnât long before Wednesdayâs voice carried back from the shower.
âYou wonât need the bottled water.â
âWhat?â Enid already had a couple of bottles in her hands as she tracked in on the voice and found Wednesday looking at a note on the shower door.
âYou werenât home when I had the service done today. We finally got the water turned on for you. - R.â
Enid blinked. âWait does that meanâŚ?â
âRumi entered the home without informing us ahead of time, yes.â Wednesday nodded. âWe shall have to ask her not to do that.â
âNo. I mean yes but does this mean we have running water now? No more dumping gallons into the toilet tank? No more waiting for water to boil for a bath?â
She stepped past Wednesday into the shower and reached out to turn the shower head on. It took a few moments of clunking and displacing long settled air, but then the water poured out in a stream through the rather more recent and modern showerhead that had been installed.
Enid laughed in a welcomely musical sound before she sighed and let her shoulders slump in a very relaxed manner. âThis is something Iâve really missed.â
âAgnes. Youâll want to be elsewhere.â
