Hmm, with Purah's association with owls - she's got the owl styled goggles she wears in her hair - I wonder if at one point they considered making Purah successor to Mineru as Sage of Spirit. The two have a lot in common, so it might have been an interesting road to go down. Especially as they did make Purah's character more important already, so expanding her importance to the point of being a Sage could have easily been on the table at some point.
If it had gone that way, then Purah and Mineru would have at least gotten to meet, albeit briefly. Unlike in canon. *sigh*
My biggest wish in the actual game is to introduce these two nerds. You just know Mineru was low key obsessed with Purah over the tech she recreated from backwards engineering. They deserved to meet and swap 'reinventing our ancestors tech from scratch' stories.
