I need to figure out a way to make casts of an action figure without taking it apart/breaking it/ruining it somehow. I've got a NECA Scout (tysm to the person who gave it to me, you know who you are, you have my eternal fealty) and think it would be fun to try and make a copy of it to paint BLU. :3 But how is the question. Obv it wouldn't be articulated without a LOT of extra work I don't have the knowledge or skill for, but I'd love to just pose the lil fucker, cast him, make a copy in resin or something, and paint it to display with the rest of my BLU team. (Sniper too tbh, but Scout's easier so I'm focusing on him rn lol) My biggest worry is that if I use agar or silicone it could get in his joints and fuck 'em up, or fuck with his paint job (since NECA phoned it in hard on their paint and paint quality lbr).
Anyone with action figure customization/creation experience have any advice? I'd love to hear it. (Or maybe reblog so it could reach someone who does, if you don't mind. I'd appreciate that a ton!)
