nonnyyyyy hi!!!! but also you're so so right, actually. bruce would notice eventually - maybe not in the beginning, when dick's performance fools him, but given enough days, he does. bruce knows dick and tim's dynamic goes beyond brotherhood. he knows how dick reacts when tim is in danger, how he was during those days tim got the clench, how no man's land tied them together even more.

he knows all the traumatic bonding they've gone under, how codependent they can be.

and dick acting like he would if anybody disappeared on him, yes, but not - not if tim did.

so bruce figures it out. follows dick, nightwing, to the where he's got tim stashed away. and-

the thing is, what he sees is - tim in pure bliss as dick penetrates him, moaning and spreading his legs and begging for more, and dick so loving and giving tim what he wants, what he needs. tim, who keeps saying that he loves dick, who tries to make it good for his big brother, who cums when dick chokes him. and dick, who takes care of his little brother in the aftermath, who cleans him and peppers timmy with kisses and hand-feeds him fruit and cuddles him to sleep, even as tim is already humping and moving his hips for more.

and then - cass, who enters the room and fully clothed cuddles tim's other side. who without shame pulls dick's cock inside of tim again, and brings them all closer together, sighing happily as tim squirms between them both.

bruce sees it all, and more than that, more than tim's happiness, is--tim's weight, finally up to standard; tim's eyebags, gone as if they'd never been there; tim's smile, uplifting the corner of his lips even as he falls asleep between his siblings.

clearly, tim is well-taken care of. he's happy. he's safe, most of all.

so is it really a surprise that he leaves the way he came? that he resolves to keep quiet, to leave tim's safety and happiness in dick's hands, assured that cass is also in it? that he goes back to the manor, and focuses on jason, on damian, who need him more, now, than tim does?

I can also see her keeping her clothes on during sex. Even if it’s a sports bra and strap boxers. Not out of insecurity or even really out of any squeamishness towards nudity - but to lean into the element that sex is not exactly traditionally erotic for her.

Oh yeah, I love CassTim! Those older comics are adorable, I've got a particular soft spot for Damion Scott's issue of Solo, where one of his inclusions was essentially a fan comic of them being Batman together in the future. He described them as something like, "like two people who're in love but don't know it" and that's just a cute as fuck dynamic to think about, plus it's just kinda adorable to read an artist clearly shipping these characters he's worked with when he clearly has no idea what shipping is.

I never found them particularly "cliche" either, I always thought they provided an interesting contrast and conversation with Dick and Babs' relationship -- the older gen's pairing a more athletic Robin with the more brainy Batgirl, while the younger pair flip the script with brainy Robin and athletic Batgirl.

Throw in Cassie for extra fun and it just makes everything better. I'd kill to see the two Cassandras team up. And I'll die on the hill that they're two of the most important, if not the two most important, women currently in his life.
