If you knew me as a youth I was always skinny with broad shoulders and was teased about wearing girl shirts because it looked like I had shoulder pads in my shirts like women's blouses do π (kids are so cruel). It's funny now but I was always self conscious about my appearance & got into fights probably several times a week from 2nd - 5th grade defending my skinny πΊbuild self. My arms & back got most of their development from boxing which I was required to perform thousands and thousands of reps of pull ups, chin ups, push ups & hitting the heavy bag. Nothing fancy just relentless repetition of the same thing Day in and day out. I was lean, strong & hit a lot harder than my small frame lead you to believe. I used to to called "Al B. Sure Hearns" because of my unibrow and lanky build. @officialalbsure Lol. I didn't really hit weights hard till I was in my mid 30's. There's not to many sports that can build a foundation or skill set that can transfer into other areas. Only con is yes I have the typical calves of a fighter ππ but hey you can't have everything. #basethetrainer #trainwithbase #boxingwithbase #chevychasemd #bethesdamd #silverspringmd #rockvillemd #biceps #arm #dmvfitness #dmvtrainer #dmvpersonaltrainer #dctrainer #fitfam #personaltrainer #getfit #getstrong #stronger #bodygoals #marylandfitness #instafit #dmvnetwork (at Chevy Chase, Maryland)
