This book is about a girl who just went through a really rough breakup and is fighting with her brother. On her families trip to Ireland, she sees her brother run off from the family and she follows him, as ends up on a journey of discovery, and a blossoming romance with her brothers friend. I love this been because it never gets boring and there’s exciting things happening from the beginning to the end, so this is a good book for you if you get bored easily. This is the second book of a series but they are both separate stories so you can read them out of order. I highly suggest this book!

This one is a MUST READ about what present day life would be like if American was run by a monarchy instead of a democracy and I’m OBSESSED. Contrary to what you may think, this book is not centered on politics and mostly follows the love lives and regular teenage drama of the royals. The concept is super cool and I couldn’t put it down! One thing I will say is the ending is a little abrupt and not exactly the happiest, so if that’s a TOTAL deal breaker at least you know! Thankfully there is a second book and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Giusto.
Il capitolo del quale non potrò fare più a meno è quello che spiega come imitare un cinese senza truccarsi da cinese o imparare la sua lingua (espedienti faticosi e socialmente poco indicati). Il metodo “consiste solo in questo, nell'affermare, il più spesso possibile e fino alla estenuazione non appena se ne presenti l'opportunità ma se necessario anche a sproposito o addirittura ex abrupto: «Io sono cinese»”.
Dopo aver imparato tante cose che possono come non possono tornarci utili, in appendice troviamo le Biografie immaginarie. Vi segnalo la vita di Anacordio di Abdera, allievo di Anassarco. “Quando Anassarco venne catturato dal tiranno di Cipro Nicocreonte e condannato a morire pestato in un mortaio, Anacordio ne fu talmente disperato che decise di morire suicida nello stesso modo del maestro. Si procurò un grande mortaio e con un pestello di bronzo si colpì ripetutamente, ma si rese conto ben presto che non sarebbe mai riuscito a darsi la morte senza l'aiuto di qualcuno. Ma in questo modo la sua morte si sarebbe potuta ancora definire come suicidio?” La risposta vi stupirà.»
Buku ini mengingatkan pada kita bahwa agar bisa bangkit, islam membutuhkan pemimpin yang kuat, tegas, cakap tidak hanya dalam hal kemiliteran dan strategi perang tetapi juga dalam ilmu pengetahuan, memiliki pendirian yang berpegang teguh pada syariat islam, taat pada setiap perintah dan larangan Allah, namun tak lupa untuk selalu memperhatikan kebutuhan rakyatnya baik muslim maupun nonmuslim dan mampu memberikan pengaruh positif yang kuat pada rakyatnya.
Hal ini terlihat dari peristiwa-peristiwa sejarah yang dijabarkan secara singkat, padat, dan jelas dalam buku ini, dimana islam selalu mengalami kemunduran ketika sang pemimpin lemah, atau tidak berpegang teguh pada syariat islam, terlena dengan harta dan kekuasaan, serta tidak memiliki pengaruh positif yang kuat pada rakyatnya sehingga terjadi pergolakan bahkan sampai pemberontakan dari rakyat dan mudahnya musuh dalam menyerang dan mengalahkan mereka.
Semoga suatu saat Allah memberikan kesempatan kepada kita sekali lagi untuk mendapatkan pemimpin-pemimpin hebat seperti Abu Bakar, Umar, Mehmet II, dan lainnya agar setidaknya sekali dalam hidup ini kita dapat merasakan masa-masa kebangkitan dan kejayaan islam sama seperti dulu atau bahkan lebih.
