Hi what is your email to send you a skull pic please
Hello! Please feel free to send your pictures to [email protected]! Iβm able to answer emails much quicker than on tumblr currently, so my email is always open to anyone who has a boney question!
okay, since 90+% of sellers seem to just label everything as "bobcat/lynx" and I've known more than a few shady sellers mislabel animals as rarer/more desirable specimens for a quick buck (see: literally 99.99% of things labeled "wolf"), can anyone tell me some definitive ways to tell the difference between a lynx and bobcat skull? it's easy enough when you have the fur on, but i legit have no idea and google is being an ass on bringing up anything helpful.
Nothing would surprise me anymore with this property- I was under my deck looking for rocks to put in my fish tank and I found this bone - it looks like a piece of spine and has a whole down the middle - probably for a spinal column - what species does anyone think this might be? A cow? A pig? A human? #bone #idthisbone #whatisthis #boneid #humanbones #novascotia #halifax #spryfield #dogkisserinternationalheadquarters (at Dogkisser International Headquarters)
(not my picture) okay it's been weeks and I still can't figure out what the heckity heck kinda jawbones those are. is it a fish? mutant lizard? alien chicken? I have literally no idea. seller didn't know and the listing was taken down a while ago (it was a us lot of beach-found bones and had a good handful of unmarked bird skulls, hence why I didn't snap it up myself)
seriously I've been driving myself up a wall with this what are theyyyyy...

My husband found this while on a deployment to Sinai Egypt. It looks like some kind of tooth to me.
Thank you for the submission! Could you send more pictures from different angles? It's hard to identify with just one. However, I can go ahead and say I don't think it's a tooth. The fissures and irregular surface hint towards it not being bone at all, rather some kind of shell or fossilized coral. That's all I can say based off this one picture.
Thank you for the submission! This is a raccoon skull. Submission by @dust-into-dust
Check out this little bub! This is an Anole lizard. π The cranium is spine are so wonderfully preserved and the pelvis is (remarkably) intact. There is a bit of soft tissue left on the skull including the lens of both eyes.
