I am so sorry about this, my account got hacked on Sunday and sent scam messages to like 40 people before staff nuked my account (still waiting to hear if my poor sides can ever be restored 😭). I just got it restored, please ignore any of those messages and I deeply apologize again for this

turns out over the course of taking my grandmother to A mother's Day brunch, someone hacked my account, apparently spammed scams using my blog, and my entire account was nuked before I even got home to see the email. I know it sounds stupid but I have legitimately been sobbing about the possibility of losing all of the things that I have done on here for the past nearly 15 years, and I'm so fucking thankful to have my account restored, even if I have to go through and delete everything that this asshole put up on my blog.

TLDR: if you were contacted in ANY WAY by "me" on Sunday, I deeply apologize for anything that was contained in those messages (obviously I can't see them, but I can imagine it was bad if they completely obliterated my account off the face of the website in the span of ~3 hours). PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW ANY INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN, THEY WERE DIRECTED TOWARDS A FAKE SUPPORT ACCOUNT.

I've sent apologies through DMs to anyone that did not block me (believe me, it's totally reasonable and I do not blame anyone that did! I would almost certainly do the same in that position honestly), and though technically it was someone else messaging people, because it was my blog I am absolutely not engaging in block evading to apologize to the people that rightfully(!!!) reported and blocked my account for the attempted scamming. but if any of them happen to see this, I am extremely sorry and I'm taking steps that it will not happen again. thank you for reporting those messages, as devastating as it has been to be in limbo getting my blog back I would rather my account nuked than a scammer having control over it to do whatever they might want.

the person in question was sending out the "uwu accidentally reported you, pls give all your info to this random account/email address asap!" scam that's been going around, and it looks like they might have followed multiple blogs solely to send them messages?

(not gonna lie I'm kind of miffed they did the dumbest fucking scam that everybody knows, couldn't even be bothered to put the effort in after stealing my account to use it for something believable lmao (I'm joking, dw). but it's infinitely better than other people also losing their accounts (or worse - things like banking info/ransomware/etc!))

still waiting on support to get back to me on if my sides can even be recovered since they were obliterated when my main was nuked.

ask and ye shall receive: When I write in Japanese I usually also throw it in google translate to double check that I'm not using the wrong kanji by mistake, and two years ago it gave me very dry and literal translations.

I have a fluent friend who is able to check my work for me and give me tips on hitting the correct tone (I was going for a comically casual feeling), so I'm confident that I'm expressing the feeling I'm intending. While Google is also hitting the same emotion, I really don't like knowing that it's assigning tone in the first place.

To check if it was editorializing based on informal grammatical choices, I formal'd up the writing to be more polite and remove any non-standard vocabulary.
