Boli the Giant Ogre Day 11 - Grýla Yule Family series

From Icelandic folklore. Often depicted as a Giant, and a misshapen Troll, or Ogre. he is the second Husband of Grýla the Yul Witch, who despite being very happy with him, may have eaten him in her hunger. Though it's also said that he was much older and died of old age. His name Boli, translates to 'bull'. Which could have been to indicate he had horns. Which could have meant he was a stong protective nature spirit.

They had many children together somewhere between 300 and 72. There are long lists of names for them, the most said are Leppur, Skreppur, Lápur, Skrápur, Langleggur, Leiðindaskjóða, Völustallur, and Bóla. But not much else about them are known.
