So we have just realized that our frequent sudden loss of interest in whatever we're doing is probably a dissociation thing and not just autism/ADHD brain being silly
Especially since it just feels like. The passion switch has been turned off. Out of nowhere it's "why are we playing this game" or "why aren't we doing this instead". We will have been doing something for hours and then suddenly get annoyed and frustrated about it, like oh my god this is so boring/unproductive why are we doing this?? I hate this.
... We may need to focus more on looking inward and separating ourselves from the idea of 'oh yeah our attention span is just like that'.
any other systems have Weird Memory but not like Gaps and more like “I can’t remember anything for more than three months even if i really work on remembering it, it just doesn’t stick” or like “i remember This Thing but none of the Details” and the of course “i Know this thing happened but i don’t feel Connected to the memory bc it wasn’t Me”

every self-dx did/osdd system knows 100000x more about did/osdd than any trained medical professional
i hate amnesia bc i never “feel” like “myself” ,, like looking back i don’t ever feel connected to any of “my” memories and i don’t know who i am or what i value at any given time

i feel like our dissociative amnesia is so different from how i’ve seen it described. like i’ve only seen the “i just woke up in a different place” or “i’m in new clothes and it’s a different day” kinda thing
but for us it’s more like i’m playing animal crossing and all of a sudden i have apple slices next to me or like i come out of a fog and i’m watching a cool movie that i don’t remember the fist half of watching
do you ever just take a break from tumblr to see if you’re faking being a system for tumblr and then you’re still a system away from tumblr
i feeeeeel liiiiiike alter roles and specifically assigning them to each alter are more harmful than helpful
at least for us, bc in the beginning it made us box alters in and try to over categorize them as their function rather than trying to accept them as individual parts
