PART II 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 Yesterday’s post was an experiment for me, sharing a thought without a lot of explanation, but I am so fascinated by the responses I received (both here and on FB), I wanted to open it out a little more. 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁, 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁: - instructions for isolation - a cry for help - writing anyone off - judging you - judging anyone else - expressing a deep need of my own - instatherapy As a communicator and a language person, I wanted to see how this simple statement landed, and it landed HARD — and completely opposite of how I meant it. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴: if they can’t see you if they can’t hear you they are not your people BECAUSE YOU ARE SIMPLY NOT IN THEIR SPACE. It was actually a marketing statement. A showing-up statement. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮. I have been really not present for a really long time (for reasons I won’t go into here), always wishing to be heard and seen—but always dancing around being me, trying to make myself palatable, expecting people to read between the lines and somehow know me. 𝘎𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵. Almost nobody knows me. And it’s not because they haven’t heard my stories. And it’s not because they haven’t tried. You can dump all this stuff out into the world and still not be in it with other people. See, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮. That’s how you get your people. That’s connection. That’s you being 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, where everybody else is. So I might ask again, with context: 𝘗𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵, 𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘧? ____ #bykellēsauer #bewhereyouare #brandingisalovestory #entrepreneur #artist #brainthings #connection #howtobealover #wildsssouls #growth #spilledink #writersofIG #creativebusinessowner #womeninbusiness #beyourbestyou #seekinspirecreate #mycreativecommunity #creativeentrepreneur #risingtidesociety #breathefire __ (at San Francisco Bay Area) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cc5JNOsruce/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
