When Stan asks “What do I look like?” When Bev was telling Richie about how he would look as an adult when she confessed she saw them as adults, she fucking had to think about it.
Beverly knew what he would do, and what he would have to give up for them to win.
She had to stop herself, and instead smiled and said “Like now, but taller.”
For Inktober Day 11, we have Beverly Marsh having a heartbreaking realization. Afterall, what better way to contrast the illustration in week one of her kid self bursting out laughing than with her adult self getting her heart shattered with some terrible news? This might actually be my favorite Inktober piece so far, as much as her expression pained me to draw.
