It is also perfect to make in large batches and freeze for easy meals. : How to Soup : Most soup recipes will start the same basic ingredients and steps. : 🧅Onion 🧄Garlic 🔅Stock 🔅Extra virgin olive oil 🔅Vegetables/meat/grains : 🔅Chop onion and garlic and sauté in extra virgin olive oil until soft. 🔅Then if you are adding dried herbs and spices now is the time to do that, stir them until fragrant. 🔅Then you are going to add stock (veg, beef, chicken - pending what flavour you are looking for). 🔅Then add whichever vegetables you want and allow to simmer until they are cooked. 🔅Then you need to decide whether you are going to blend it or leave it chunky. 🔅That decision will dictate if you are adding meat, when that happens. If you are blending, blend-return to stove-add meat and cook. If not, add meat and cook. 🔅This is also a great time to add any pre cooked legumes, lentils,pearl barley, noodles etc. 🥣 I made this last night with literally every vegetable in my house including the ones I froze awhile ago for smoothies. Made basic biscuits and cut them out using snowflake cookie cutters. 250g soft butter mixed with 150g caster sugar. Add in 1 egg, 2sp vanilla essence and 300g plain flour. Mix until combined. Chill the dough until ready to use.
