Staring at the Sun (or any very bright light) so long your eyes water and you get stars in your eyes afterwards.
Hello! I was wondering what exactly counts as echolalia? Sometimes i get words, phrases, sounds or parts of songs stuck in my head but only for a minutes. It will go away and then come back. Maybe lasting a few days to a week? Sometimes something sounds so good to me i gotta keep it going in my mind. My mother also said when i was younger i would repeat things and laugh at them for a long time bc i thought they sounded funny (apparently i kept it up for a long time) Is that also echolalia? /1
Another thing my mother and everyone really said i would do as a child: i only talked in third person till around maybe 5 years old. I read somewhere that that may have been a sign of autism but i thought all kids did that? I just wanted to ask here! Im in the process of trying to point out possible childhood signs of autism. (Regarding my first ask on echolalia, i feel like i have already asked that question, if i have I apologize.)
Something that youāre repeating out loud is echolalia. Ā Something that youāre repeating in your head is echologia. Ā As far as Iām aware thereās not any set time that something has to last in order to count as an echophenomenon, so I think the words or phrases repeating in your head for a few minutes should still count as echologia.
For the thing about speaking in third person, difficulty with pronouns is a common autistic trait (and is found under section B1 of SabrinaāsĀ āDiagnostic Criteria for Autism Explainedā post (which, as Iāve mentioned in other posts, I basically always have open in the tab next to this one for easy reference - great job on that resource, Sabrina!)). Ā Speaking in the third person is definitely not a thing that all kids do
Also, just so you know, weāre usually pretty good about tagging peopleās usernames when they ask stuff off anon, so if you ever want to double check whether youāve already asked something, you can go toĀ https://autism-asks.tumblr.com/tagged/bartholomewfatima. Ā Right now thereās only one post there and itās not about echolalia, so if you did ask this before it was likely on anon, but just be aware that that resource exists.

How did u tell ur ma u was autistic? Iāve been wracking my brains abt it but I canāt come upwith anything!
Uh I got lucky in that one respect. I didnāt have to tell her. When I was in like 9th grade she suspected I was autistic and when I brought it up as fact years later she believed me (how she reacts to it is iffy, however, and I still have to be careful bringing it up.
It depends on your mom. Do you think sheāll need help believing you, or accepting it? I would recommend getting together basic info articles, and a list of how you fit the symptoms.
Bart and Sigurd, in a 4-card spread layout. Bart wearing Sigurd's clothing looks a little bit odd, but Sigurd wearing Bart's clothing looks so fucking hot... oh my god š«
This is me trying to draw more pretty bishonen anime-style. The background pattern is a free materials asset from Clip Studio, the content ID is 2133942.
Bonus 15 second drawing timelapse video is included "below the break" so it doesnt clog up your timeline

Timelapse video made with Clip Studio Paint, to show the drawing process. I didn't use a pose reference for this so I struggled with the positioning of the legs and foreshortening of the arms. At some point, I want to turn this into a fully finished drawing.
