Now for the part that needs the trauma tw, the LORE

pyro loved fire from a young age (abusive father smoked in the same room like right after she was born and that might've sparked it.) one day, when pyro was about 10, he started a fire inside got trapped and traumatized, not to mention they already had a bit of trauma and stuff from their father which lead to maladaptive daydreaming.

that, along with brain damage from burns and falling debris induced a form of "pyrovision" and left them in a permanently regressed or "childish" state. fire enables pyrovision to be "happy" even if it is a trauma source, without fire, things become dull (canon thing btw), and with stress, even scary, which makes the regression worse.

the pyrovision goggles were made and built into pyro's mask to keep them from spiraling into anxiety and fear. medic was the one to find them about 15 years after the fire, saving him from where they were being held.

engineer acts like a better father figure to pyro, to the point of them making a drawing labeling him as "dad". scout is kinda like an older brother to her in a bad, but really realistic way. heavy understands they have the mindset of a child and does the best he can to care for her.

demo thinks of her as a drinking buddy and they tend to hang out with the BLU soldier sometimes. said soldier likes hanging out with them, same with RED soldier, who can definitely relate to him due to brain damage since soldier canonically has lead poisoning.

spy and sniper are distant, as usual. spy doesn't seem to care much for anyone, and when he shows it it's clear he hides a lot of the emotion, and that extends to pyro as well. sniper is just an introvert, he doesn't bother anyone much, though i like to think he's at least friends with pyro, even if they don't interact much.

they're Hispanic and also gender-fluid and go by any pronouns, though the other mercs mainly use he/she for pyro.
